// Situation

Where it started.

The company had a strong product, a 12-person revenue team, paid acquisition across LinkedIn, Google, content syndication, webinars, and events, and a growing marketing team. But the CEO and board had a serious concern: pipeline looked healthy while customer-acquisition cost was climbing.

Marketing reported lead volume and campaign performance. Sales complained about quality. Finance could not clearly connect spend to opportunities, closed revenue, CAC payback, or channel-level return. The business was growing, but capital efficiency was deteriorating.

// The_objective

Improve acquisition efficiency and create a board-trustworthy view of marketing’s contribution to pipeline and revenue, without simply cutting growth investment.

// What_I_did

The work, step by step.

01

Audited spend, CRM stages, attribution, sales follow-up, pipeline velocity, win rates, ACV, and channel performance.

02

Rebuilt the reporting model around source-to-opportunity, source-to-revenue, cost per qualified opportunity, CAC, CAC payback, pipeline coverage, and influenced revenue.

03

Found that three channels used a significant portion of budget but produced low-quality leads or weak opportunity conversion.

04

Paused or reduced low-return spend; reallocated budget toward the highest-converting ICP segments and highest-intent acquisition paths.

05

Reworked qualification rules, lead scoring, routing, and Sales feedback loops.

06

Rebuilt campaign offers and landing-page messaging around business outcomes, proof, and buyer urgency.

07

Established a monthly revenue review with CEO, CFO, CRO, and marketing leadership.
